Schools’ Workshops

Information

Bring your pupils to the magical world of our open-air theatre at Wylds Farm, Liss for an action packed workshop to remember. They will play storytelling games, learn stage fighting techniques and engage with the set, props and costumes from this season’s production of Romeo and Juliet. The children will finish the session session working  with our professional cast of actors to re-create a key scene from Shakespeare’s most famous play – and then perform it on our stage!

Here are the details:

  • The workshops offer a perfect introduction to Shakespeare for Years 4-6
  • The dates we are offering are:
    Wednesday 17th July morning (9.30am – 12 noon)
    Wednesday 17th July afternoon (1.15pm – 3.45 pm)

  • There will also be the opportunity to have a picnic before or after the workshop depending on the time of day.
  • The workshops will take place outdoors, in various places around the farm, culminating in a performance on our open-air stage. We can also deliver the workshops under cover, should weather conditions require it.
  • The cost of the workshops has been kept to a minimum, at £7 per child.
  • We can accommodate up to a total of 60 children per session, in two separate workshops, with up to 30 in each.
  • We know how prescriptive the modern curriculum is and so if we can adapt to fit in with the children’s specific areas of learning, please let us know.  We would be very happy to come in and chat about the project, if you wish to take it further.
  • As we can only offer a limited number of sessions during the Festival, please let us know if you are interested as soon as possible.  Email us via our contact form here:
